Intermediate Years Program

Ages 9-14 years old (Late Primary-Early Secondary)

Children with special needs who are in the intermediate learning years are often caught in the dilemma of finding a place that supports their individual pace of learning whilst providing a community that allows for true friendships to be formed. Our Intermediate Years Program aims to meet these needs, in addition to exposing these students to learn prevocational skills within a small classroom setting.

Targeted skills in our syllabus include: social-emotional-behaviour, literacy, numeracy, prevocation, robotics, world knowledge and ICT. We emphasize the importance of community so our syllabus includes plenty of opportunities for guided social interaction and teamwork. Teachers will also guide students in developing real-life problem solving skills so that they are better equipped to navigate the world around them.

Days: 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)
